Philippe Peylin gave a presentation on the main VERIFY results for the National Academies of Sciences – Engineering – Medicine (USA). The Board on Atmospheric Sciences and Climate (BASC) organized a specific event on Greenhouse Gas Emissions Monitoring, Inventories, and Data Integration: Understanding the Landscape on June 2nd.

This session was dedicated on approaches used to develop global greenhouse gas emissions inventories and information, including atmospheric observations, proxy data, and modeling approaches.

The final agenda can be found here and the details of the event here.

Philippe Peylin’s contibution can be found here.
It shows the synthesis that was performed for CO2, CH4 and N2O (for the whole Europe), comparing the observation-based flux estimates (from both process-based models and atmospheric inversions) with the inventory estimates reported to the UNFCCC by the national agencies.
