We present posterior emission maps and emission uncertainty reduction maps for 2006 and 2018 from inversions performed under WP3 for CO2_land and under WP4 for CH4 and N2O. This illustrates on the one hand the effect of adding the extra observation-based information as input to estimating the geographically distributed emissions, in particular for those gases and sectors with highest uncertainty. In addition, it allows deriving a recommendation of which extra information is needed, where extra observations need to be envisaged for building an appropriate observation network that provides effectively the observation-based evidence to verify the BU emissions.

Both the richness and usefulness of data, information and tools, that the VERIFY project has collected in a harmonious way in the VERIFY data portal is also illustrated with an appropriate user-friendly and web-based visualization tool put in place by LSCE and accessible from the VERIFY web site (mapping and time series facilities).
