The main objective of this deliverable is to outline the options for operational uptake of the VERIFY results. The document focuses on the potential uptake of VERIFY developments in the Copernicus programme, specifically the new anthropogenic CO2 emissions monitoring and verification support capacity (CO2MVS) that is being implemented in the Copernicus Atmosphere Monitoring Service. Potential uptake as part of the activities in the Integrated Carbon Observation System (ICOS) are discussed elsewhere.

It is shown that various outcomes of the VERIFY project have clear potential for uptake in the CO2MVS, but that the process will have to take into account the wider framework of the CO2MVS as well as the competitive Invitation To Tender process that is used to set up new services and their developments. However, VERIFY has considerably improved the expertise of and the available methodologies in the European science community, which will directly benefit future operational implementation.
