This deliverable is primarily to present the factsheets of the three major greenhouse gases CO2, CH4 and N2O for the USA using the methodology developed in VERIFY. The information makes use of the bottom-up, officially reported, GHG inventory time-series from 1990 to 2018 as well as of the top-down observation-based budget using mostly global and some regional datasets and models. The creation process is manual but will be open to be automatized enabling smooth updates of these factsheets.

There are four main factsheets addressing respectively CO2 fossil, CO2 land, CH4 and N2O, and they follow a similar structure as used for EU27+UK of deliverable D5.6. The top-left of each factsheet shows a figure based on the National Inventory Report submitted by USA to the UNFCCC, where decennial changes in the overall trend are broken-down by sector. The top right shows a map of USA highlighting the summary of different emissions estimates. The bottom part of the figure shows a comparison of sectoral bottom-up emissions and top-down derived emission estimates, including uncertainties.
