VERIFY is a combination of scientific advances on the physical measurement or modelling of different emission sources that opens the way to a wide spectrum of potentially commercial uses. As such, nine potentially marketable products have been identified. This unrealized value is mainly explained by an artificial distance between VERIFY research teams. The lack of capabilities to dialogue with the private sector, without perturbating the academic research course, has reduced the chance to translate some advances into marketable products. However, the growing appetite in Europe and internationally for independent, reactive, and located knowledge of GHG emissions has led to the emergence of user-oriented solutions beyond the sphere of national inventories.
